Welcome to the penultimate edition of the biggest countdown It's My Kind of Scene has put together! That's right, the end is nigh for the Top 300 Songs of the 2000s. Today we meet the bridesmaids, ten songs that narrowly missed out on making the top 10. The brides, aka the top 10, we'll see those tomorrow. But first, the bridesmaids. Everyone likes the bridesmaids because generally they're single and ready to mingle... what? We're getting waaay off topic now, so let's hear some music!

#20 - Hey Ya! (2003)

OutKast's fifth and final song to make the list, and their biggest commercial hit, 'Hey Ya!' remains the funnest, most exciting track in their catalogue.

#17 - Californication (2000)

While they've released good, satisfactory music since, this was the last time the Red Hot Chili Peppers released something so good you just had to listen to it over and over (and over and over) again. And again and again and again. Great lyrics, a memorable and catchy hook plus an excellent music video. If they ever get around to releasing their new album, which Kiedis says is tentatively titled Dr. Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head, hopefully they recapture some of the magic from this and the earlier stages of their career. No, I'm not kidding about the album title and yes, with an album title like that I shouldn't hold out too much hope.

Epic. Ask anyone after their first experience with 'Cosmic Love' and you've got a 98.32% chance of them describing it as epic. The orchestration, the lyrics, the soaring vocals provided by the exquisite Florence Welch... it's all so very epic.

I'll always be grateful to the peeps that chose the music for Six Feet Under. They used the intense and powerful 'Breathe Me' to close out the show's final episode, making a household name out of its beautiful singer, Sia Furler.
