Top 300 Songs of the 2000s, #210 - 201

Kanye: Bow in the presence of greatness.

Here we are kids at the end of out bottom 100. There's still  200 (amazing) songs to go after this, so why waste time with boring small talk? Let's get straight to our ten songs of the moment... from the past. See, this is why we should skip the small talk.

#210 - Almost Happy (2000)
by K's Choice

No I don't know what you want,
And you don't know, so what's the point of asking?

K's Choice enjoyed success with the minor hit, 'Not An Addict' in the 90s but never reached the level of popularity they should have. It's well worth it to check out their catalogue of music.

#209 - Round Round (2002)
by Sugababes

If you hate me, I will show you,
How to break me, into something new...

The UK's most successful girl group of the decade deserves a bit of love, yeah? It's a shame to see how far the group's fallen at this point (with no original members remaining and more of a focus on skankiness), but they were quite the force to be reckoned with for most of the 2000s.

#208 - From the Sea (2004)
by Eskimo Joe

Oooh, I'm so spaced out today...

No, don't worry... you won't be seeing 'Black Fingernails, Red Wine' on the countdown.

#207 - Jesus of Suburbia (2004)
by Green Day

Dearly beloved are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying.

'Jesus of Suburbia' is like three songs for the price of one. I love free stuff. Thus, I love this song. But seriously, you have to admire the group for even attempting what they accomplished with 'Jesus of Suburbia.' It could have been nine minutes of suckitude, but it actually manages to maintain your interest for the vast majority of the track.

#206 - Operate (2003)
by Peaches

He's not dead, he's gonna live,
I see his eyes rolling back in his head.

#205 - Stronger (2007)
by Kanye West

Let's get lost tonight,
You could be my black Kate Moss tonight...

That's two entries for Mr. West.

#204 - Jetsetter (2006)
by Morningwood

And I'm tired of sleeping in strange beds,
And I've done more than you allow...

Morningwood, much like K's Choice, should be major players in the industry. Should be, but aren't which sucks... for you. Just think, we could have had catch, interesting pop songs like 'Jetsetter' on the radio instead of trash like 'Blow' by Ke$ha. Gosh I love Ke$ha. What?

#203 - Top of the World (2003)
by Dixie Chicks

Think I broke the wings off that little songbird,
She's never gonna fly to the top of the world right now...

Yes, this song is a cover and I said that covers weren't elligible for the list. But I'm willing to make an exception for this song, and this song only. Maybe. We'll see. Just listen to it and tell me it's not one of the most emotional songs you've ever heard in your life. Natalie Maines' vocal delivery is pretty much perfection. And you don't get better than perfection.

#202 - Gold Lion (2006)
by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Outside, inside,
This is a moon without a tide...

Karen O and Co. join Kanye with two songs featured. So far.

#201 - Love Your Way (2004)
by Powderfinger

I got to keep moving to stay warm, 'cause I'm freezing in this room,
And if I prove no good here I'll stick to where I should...

And that's two for Powderfinger... three for Bernard Fanning!

We're 100 songs down and there's 200 to go. It can, and will, only get better from here!
