The mighty Gaga has unleashed her new single, 'Born This Way' on the world and after some initial plays I've got to admit, it's left me a little underwhelmed. With the monster build-up of hype in the lead up to the release, expectations were more than high for this to deliver. Well, it delivered it one aspect; it's destined to be a big, gay anthem. "Don't be a drag, just be a queen." Right.

Unnecessary comparisons to Madonna's 'Express Yourself' have already begun, but that was to be expected... Madonna's done everything. She's like The Simpsons... there is no original idea because they've done it already. Yeah it sounds like it's straight from the 80s, has a positive message and it's almost too gay to function, but so's Ke$ha's 'We R Who We R' and Pink's 'F***in' Perfect' (minus the 80s aspects).

So, bottom-line... 'Born This Way' is going to be huge, because it's Le Gaga, but don't expect it to be a runaway success like 'Bad Romance.' However, the Lady has proven that she deserves a bit of our trust, so you can expect a whole world of goodness when the album is released in May. Actually, since the album release is still so far away, expect the next single to bring the awesome back in time for the unleashing of the album on the public.
