#70 - Big
by Sneaky Sound System

This is the moment we've been waiting for,
This could be big for me and you.

I loved 'Big' when I first heard it, but when I heard Miss Connie singing it live in the roller disco tent at Bestival I fell in love with it. Like I said in the Bestival recap, her vocal ability blew me away and I wasn't the only one. I have a sneaky suspicion that Australia's funnest dance duo (not named The Presets) gained many new fans that night. It's just a shame that songs like 'Big' weren't as, uh... big... as they should have been. Less than 70, 000 YouTube hits? Should be 7, 000, 000!

#69 - We Found Love
by Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris

Yellow diamonds in the light,
Now we're standing side by side...

Yes, I might have been less than kind in my original review of 'We Found Love.' Yes, I was wrong to think it was anything other than a tasty piece of electro-pop. No need to tell me, "I told you so."

#68 - Only If For A Night
by Florence + The Machine

And the only solution was to stand and fight,
And my body was loosened, I was set alight...

This is how you open an album! From the opening church bells to the closing, "yeyeye-yeyeye-ahwoaaaah," with the repeated title name... this is how you open an album! Only Florence Welch could make a song about doing cartwheels in front of a practical ghost sound so good. And to think, I thought she wouldn't be able to top 'What The Water Gave Me' when I first heard it.

#67 - Punching In A Dream
by The Naked and Famous

I don't ever wanna be here...

#66 - Two Cousins
by Slow Club

Hold on to where you're from,
It's where your heart goes, when you're done.

Blame the video. I don't think I would have gotten so into 'Two Cousins' anywhere near as much as I did without the excellent clip that accompanies it. After a 2010 filled with good tunes but little recognition, it's nice to see Slow Club get a ton of exposure in 2011. Here's to an even more successful 2012!

#65 - Switchblade Smile
by Kasabian

More violence, he's coming, he's coming, he's coming...

#64 - Hang It Up
by The Ting Tings

People say it's not worth the wait,
Everybody loves somebody to hate.

If you can get over the initial disappointment that settles in when you realise you're not about to listen to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit,' you'll learn to enjoy The Tings Tings doing their thing. What is their thing? Being completely amazing, that's what. Not as good as last year's 'Hands,' but this is a world of fun. Where is the second album at guys?

#63 - Skeleton
by The Good Natured

So we're standing all alone,
And I am naked to the bone...

Speaking of incredible British acts that I'd love to hear a full-length, brand new album from in 2012... it's The Good Natured. When they're releasing tracks as energetic and crazy as 'Skeleton,' you can understand why.

#62 - The Wolf
by Fever Ray

And big fire, big burn,
Into the ashes and no return...

#61 - I Dare You
by Kaiser Chiefs

Because life is the simplest thing,
When you realise you don't care.

How exactly is it that 'I Dare You' didn't make it onto The Future Is Medieval? Seriously, I'd like to know.

Another day, another ten down... we're getting closer to the top 50 now!
