2011 Scene Awards - Video of the Year

Where's Wally?

The Scene Awards are back! That's right, everyone else is handing out their end of year awards so it's about time we joined in on the fun. Just like last year, we'll begin by "handing out" our award for video of the year, with man and woman of the year, album of the year, best new artist, best group and Australian artist of the year awards to follow later in the week. Now, as you may remember, Music Video Mayhem was a semi-regular feature we had running throughout the year, pitting new music videos against one another Fight Club style. There could be only one winner per issue and now, all of those winners will be facing off against one another for the right to be named video of the year. Who's it gonna be?!

Amanda Palmer - In My Mind

Art Vs. Science - Higher

Beyonce - Run The World (Girls)

The Black Keys - Lonely Boy

Britney Spears - I Wanna Go

Britney Spears - Till The World Ends

Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

Katy Perry ft. Kanye West - E.T.

Kimbra - Cameo Lover

Lady Gaga - Judas

Lenka - Heart Skips A Beat

Pnau - The Truth

Rihanna - Man Down

Justice - Civilization

Washington - Holy Moses

Video of the Year

WINNER: THE BLACK KEYS - LONELY BOY
Runner-Up: Gotye ft. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

The Black Keys have always been proof that simplicity is bliss. What do we get in the video for 'Lonely Boy?' A guy dancing out the front of a motel for four minutes. He's no Beyonce, but the man can bust a move. It's perfect for the song, perfect as a Black Keys video and without a doubt the most perfect video of 2011.
