Excuse me? I said that there wouldn't be another countdown post until Monday? LIES, ALL LIES! I would never say such a thing. You have proof? Well I'd just edit that away, but I'm far too lazy on a Friday afternoon. Anyway, to stop your complaining, here's the ten most excellent tracks that make up the next installment of the Top 100 Songs of the 1970s. Enjoy!

#30 - Dreams (1977)

I told you, I just can't get enough of Fleetwood Mac. By Fleetwood Mac I mean Stevie Nicks, but whatever, they're all good. Mick, the other chick... all good. But it's Ms Nicks (who I am obligated to remind you is not a sheep, South Park be damned!) who generally grabs my attention with her sultry voice and soul crushing lyrics. If you had been part of the travelling circus that was Fleetwood Mac you'd probably be able to write some soul crushing lyrics too.

#29 - How Deep Is Your Love (1977)

Don't worry disco haters, this is the last time you'll be seeing a disco (disco) song making an appearance on this countdown. But someway, somehow, I'll find a way to bring it back. Disco countdown anyone? No? Didn't think so...

#28 - Somebody To Love (1976)

Can anybody find me, somebody to... love.

You know there's still one Queen song that trumps even 'Somebody To Love,' right? The question is, will it make it to #1?

#27 - I'll Be There (1970)

If you should ever find someone new,
I know he'd better be good to you...

'I'll Be There' essentially set the standard for what a boy band song could and should be. The problem was, it was too good and other boy bands couldn't live up to the extremely high standards set by the Jackson 5. Mostly because pretty much every other boy band in the history of music has sucked and no one could compete with Jackson's pre-pubescent vocals (No, not even Justin Timberlake ladies). Or post-pubescent really, since you couldn't exactly tell the difference between the two. The only time a recreation of the song worked was when Mariah Carey filled in for Michael with Boyz II Men backing her up... that was pretty awesome.

#26 - Wild Horses (1971)

Wild horses, couldn't drag me away...

Featured as our Song of the Day in late February, 'Wild Horses' is the best slow jam the Stones have ever produced.

#25 - Heart of Glass (1979)

Once I had a love and it was divine,
Soon found out I was losing my mind...

It's My Kind of Scene's #1 Woman of Rock, Debbie Harry, leads Blondie to their highest and final charting position on the 70s countdown. Not bad for a group who's best music came in the 80s. And 90's... 'Maria' was awesome, haters can suck it!

#24 - No Woman, No Cry (1974)

So dry your tears I say...

For those that think Bob Marley was just a stoner. He was... but he was much more than just a stoner.

#23 - River (1971)

Much like Queen, this lyrical genius has one more trick up her sleeve. What's it going to be and will it take Joni to the top? Time will tell...

#22 - I Wanna Be Sedated (1979)

That's it for punk music on this list... or is it? No, no it's not. Did you know that The Ramones were awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys this year? Neither did I... and we should know these things. I guess they didn't have enough time to advertise it when Eminem performs for half an hour (which was awesome by the way) and Gaga is born from an alien egg.
