Collaborations I Want To See

Everyone loves seeing two of their favourite music stars combining their powers (Captain Planet style) to unleash a monster hit on the masses. We've seen some huge collaborations throughout music's history; David Bowie and Mick Jagger had us dancing in the streets... The Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin proved that sisters could do it for themselves... Britney and Madonna made out. Those were good times.

Good times...

Over the last couple of years we've seen Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Eminem and Rihanna and Beyonce and Lady Gaga release massive hits. We've also seen Jessica Mauboy team-up with Ludacris and Ke$ha skank it up with Taio Cruz, but the less said about those the better. You're probably looking for some sort of point to all this, so let's get to it. Here are the top five collaborations that I want to see... and soon!

#5. Missy Elliott ft. Nicki Minaj and M.I.A

Yes please... Three of the biggest, baddest, coolest female MCs in the game unleashing hell on earth through the power of music. Notice that it's Missy Elliott featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. Wouldn't this be the perfect way for 'Misdemeanor' to make her big comeback in 2011?

#4. Kanye West and Florence Welch

Why not? Kanye has an uncanny ability to bring out the best in his collaborators (see Minaj, Nicki - 'Monster) and Florence would bring a new style to his works that could end with one of the most original and brilliant songs... ever! Dramatic? Yes, yes it was.

Maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano?

#3. Eminem and Susan Boyle

Because my mum thinks it would be awesome! Not. Even. Kidding.

#2. Eddie Vedder and Stevie Nicks

I feel like their voices would be perfect together and that, combined with their incredible songwriting talents, could result in one of the greatest songs of all-time (all-time).

Whoever made this image is amazing... kudos.

#1. David Bowie and Lady Gaga

YES PLEASE... come on. This would be exciting, over-the-top and a step back in time (or a step back to the future?) and I'm sure the Gaga would be all for it. Other than Kanye and Florence, this could also be the most likely to happen. They could be super witty and call the song something like Let's Just Dance. That's solid.

What say you people? Who do you want to see hitting up the studio?
