When Particles Collide

I was never so good with the science based subjects. I was always too busy listening to something, pretending I could drum with my pens on my desk, concerned about when the next single from my latest favourite band was going to be released. I do remember something about kinetic energy and have probably thrown those words around when describing some of my favourite music, without really knowing what they mean. Looks like all my study dreams have come true now, with a beautiful song by the UK's Psychologist called 'When Particles Collide'. I still don't know what kinetic energy is, but I think Iain Woods and his project Psychologist might have something to do with it.


It starts like a soundtrack of a film, a barren scene of some kind of desolation but those sounds are interrupted by some of the spookiest notes from keys and a beat that starts the head nodding until Iain's unique voice kicks in and starts singing about particles colliding, which, to a science type person means one thing and to a heart-feels-emotional-little-bit-creative-or-maybe-just-a-blogger-type person means another thing. Whichever one you are, you can't deny how good it is, shadowy but danceable, danceable but moody, they're all good things, and all good things this heart-feels-emotional-little-bit-creative-or-maybe-just-a-blogger-type person likes a lot.
