Right, so we all know that Bon Iver's 'Skinny Love' is a masterpiece and one of the finest recordings of the 2000s. So I'm just going to skip right over the original version, because it's been given plenty of love before. Let's talk about 14 year-old Birdy. Her (even more) slowed down, soul crushing, piano based cover is a thing of beauty. When used before and during a funeral scene on a television show, it will destroy your emotions (damn you, The Vampire Diaries!). You can add Birdy to the 'one to watch' category as this is one cover that's far too good to ignore. Enjoy!
