I'm A Gleek #2, #30 - 21

Season 2 of Glee is done and dusted (at least for American audiences), with a pretty stellar finale capping off an enjoyable yet extremely inconsistent second year. I don't want to spoil anything for those that haven't seen the last couple of episodes, so instead of talking about the storylines and (lack of) character development, let's just jump straight into the music. This time last year we did a countdown of the twenty best songs from the first season. Taking it one step further to compensate for so many extra songs, we're bumping the second season list to thirty! Here's the best songs Glee offered us in season 2...

#30. Tik Tok (New Directions)

"Tik and also Tok by rapper Key-Dollar Sign-Ha." This scene came together perfectly. The cough medicine + booze cocktail, complete with a cheers to Ke$ha. Brittany taking the lead and showing us what we already knew... that she is AWESOME. Everything is going very, very well for the New Directions and then Brittany vomits. Into Rachel's mouth. "Everybody drink responsibly."

#29. I Follow Rivers (Tina)

Tina. So underutilised. Which is why it was nice to see her getting some time to shine in the 'Night of Neglect' episode. An episode that was meant to highlight both neglected characters and some artists that are often overlooked. Of course, 'I Follow Rivers' was used as a gag song and we barely got to hear a minute of it. What. The. Hell? It was also the only song that featured a neglected artist. Celine Dion, Adele, Aretha Franklin and Lykke Li. Who's the odd one out? Anyway, the recording is pretty cool. Don't worry Tina, I got your back!

#27. Teenage Dream (Blaine)

I can't lie... I wasn't the biggest Warblers fan. But there's no denying that Darren Criss made a star out of himself with his version of 'Teenage Dream.' Topping 'Don't Stop Believing' to be Glee's highest charting song on the US charts is quite the big deal.

Unexpectedly awesome AND it serviced the story. Quinn and Rachel's story could have had a whole lot more to it than what we got, but this was a highlight.

Sure, I don't get her relationship with Puck, but I loves me some Zizes. "I spell woman Z-I-Z-E-S." Outstanding. She tells it like it is and as we found out, she knows what boys like. "You just got Zized!"

Will has more chemistry with April Rhodes than any other woman in the show. Yep, even more than Emma. But I do loves me some Emma, so she can stay. But April, I mean, they just sound so good together. Maybe because Kristen Chenoweth is INCREDIBLE! Plus, it's Fleetwood Mac, it's 'Dreams,' it's... just awesome. Yeah?

#22. Don't Cry For Me Argentina (Kurt and Rachel)

Speaking of chemistry. I don't think any duo works better than Kurt and Rachel. Their voices compliment each other a little too well. If you've seen the finale, you know there's more of these two to come.

#21. Candles/Raise Your Glass (The Warblers)


Kurt taking center stage at regionals was a feel-good moment. Blaine dominating a P!nk song? That was outstanding.
