Let's keep things moving... a quick countdown's a good countdown, right?
#190 - Lump (1995)
by The Presidents of the United States of America
There's something about the video being shot in a boggy marsh that makes me smile. Rhyming pyjamas with piranhas is pure genius.
#189 - The Rockafeller Skank (1998)
by Fatboy Slim
#188 - You Get What You Give (1998)
by New Radicals
"Wake up kids, we've got the dreamers disease," remains one of the best opening lines to a song and kicks off one of the most infectious pop singles of the 90s. And that's a good kind of infectious, just in case you needed clarification.
#187 - Accidentally Kelly Street (1992)
by Frente
The video is so, so very 80s, but I won't judge Frente too harshly. 'Accidentally Kelly Street' remains Frente's signature track and one of Australia's greatest contributions to popular music.
#186 - Kiss From a Rose (1995)
by Seal
#185 - Rain (1993)
by Madonna
#184 - Did It Again (1997)
by Kylie Minogue
Who's your favourite Kylie? I'm going with Sex Kylie, she's feisty looking. Minogue wasn't as campy-disco as she usually is for the majority of the 90s and I couldn't be happier. She brought the goods to Indie-Pop and gained respect from a whole new audience, including JJJ listeners, who voted it into the Hottest 100 of 1997.
#183 - Fall At Your Feet (1991)
by Crowded House
#182 - All I Wanna Do (1994)
by Sheryl Crow
#181 - Last Kiss (1999)
by Pearl Jam
I promise I'm not going to put every single Pearl Jam song of the 90s on here (I could though, but I won't). 'Last Kiss' is more than deserving of a place though. It remains Pearl Jam's most successful song, peaking at #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the ARIA charts.
Another ten down. Don't go anywhere, there's still plenty more to come!
