Glastonbury; festival of controversy, rumour, tradition and mud. Oh and music. Lots of music. One of the world's most famous, now in its thirty-second year, it is a festival true music lovers should make an attempt to get to, at least once in their lives. This year, Matt did just that, securing a ticket online all the way from his laptop in Australia and making the trek across the oceans to share the experience with a bunch of fabulous friends and Lily Allen, Kaiser Chiefs, Arcade Fire, Dolly Parton, M.I.A, Ngaiire, Lana Del Rey, HAIM, Blondie, Jack White....the list goes on and on and on. As per usual here at It's My Kind Of Scene, we like to do the festival review our own special way, via our fave form of communication internationally, the text message. Some would say SMS. Therefore, across numerous time zones and numerous days, welcome to our first ever international text review and welcome to Glastonbury (with Matt on the left and Jo on the right)...

At this point, a call was made from the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury at about 7.30pm to a very cold, windy and dark morning, about 4.30am in Brisbane. The sounds of Jack White's sweet guitars and vocal made their way halfway across the world, as well as the sound of Matt's voice saying "I hope you can hear this!" and "I'm calling my friend Jo!" while another voice screamed down the line "Hi Joooooooooo!"

Glastonbury. "Best thing ever!" that pretty much says it all, doesn't it?
