Preview: Little BIGSOUND 2014

LITTLE BIGSOUND 2014 SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED

WHERE: The Edge - Southbank, Brisbane
WHEN: Monday July 21, 2014
TICKETS: From QMusic

The BIGSOUND music conference and live festival might not be until September, but it's younger sibling, Little BIGSOUND has been announced for July with a most excellent range of speakers and performers. The event is tailor-made for young artists, aged 15-25, who are looking to break into the music industry. What we think makes it awesome is that the good people over at QMusic work with a range of young performers and students from Youth Music Industries, who take ownership of programming and running the day.

Like the bigger BIGSOUND, it's not just for those looking to make it as a performing artist. A range of producers, music lawyers, radio peeps, lovely PR peeps, festival organisers and managers will also be there to offer advice to those eager to find out what it's like to work in the many different areas of the music industry. All around cool guy and triple J fave, Jeremy Neale will be joined by Kahl Wallace, frontman for the rocking and rolling back The Medics for what will be must listen talks. If you want to hear from Brisbane's best band manager, Leanne de Souza (Thelma Plum, The Medics, The Painted Ladies) will be there, as will Double J's Dan Condon and 4ZZZ's Michelle Brown.

Performing on the day will be the incredibly talented Sahara Beck, Youth Allowance and The Missing. If you're serious about a career in the music industry, this is the one event of the year you're really not going to want to miss. Especially if you fall into the under 18 category and can't make it to BIGSOUND.
