Shirley Manson! |
Don't worry, I'm going to resist the urge to do what I really want to... post some amazing covers of 'All By Myself!' Instead, we're talking today about lead singers that need to break away from their bands and release some sweet, sweet solo material. Some of them may have already put an album or a song out and others might have never appeared without the support of their bandmates. All I know is, the next ten singers have got to break free. Now, I know it's been a couple of weeks since the last '10 And 1,' so I'd better explain what's the G-O again. I'll list ten singers that could release an amazing solo album that would make us all very, very happy and finish with one that should never, ever even consider it. Not even for a second. Let's get to it...
The 10:
Shirley Manson
of Garbage
of Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Angus Stone
of Angus and Julia Stone
Yukimi Nagano
of Little Dragon
Daniel Johns
of Silverchair
Anthony Kiedis
of Red Hot Chili Peppers
Katy Steele
of Little Birdy
Jack White
of White Stripes
Amy Lee
of Evanescence
Brian Molko
of Placebo
The 1:
Chris Martin
At times I can enjoy Coldplay. These times are rare. Thinking about Coldplay releasing a new album and then BAM, Chris Martin unleashes an entire solo album on the world straight after... it makes me sad. Sad and angry!
Well, you know who I do (and don't) want to move into the solo realm. What about you?!
