Video Review - U-Huh

I love it when this happens. I mean, really LOVE it when this happens. You get this song, you get it stuck in your little brain for weeks and everywhere you go you’re like “u-huh, u-huh” in the most non rhythmical way, but you just can’t help yourself ‘cause it’s so damn catchy and if you happen to hear someone else listening to it you wanna be all music nerd like and go “Tkay!” in their face but you (generally) don’t ‘cause you write a music blog and get to release your music nerd that way, not that there’s anything nerdy about Tkay, just possibly the amount you like her and probably the way you dance to her beats.


Then, like the icing on the cake, the clip. Now this is the bit I reeeeeally love, ‘cause sometimes you love a song but then the clip is all like bad dancing and colourful balloons and sunshine and irritating lip synching…sorry, that’s another clip I’m thinking of. This one is nothing like that. Well, there are balloons, but they're not even remotely annoying. I love the song, but the clip to ‘U-Huh’ is the icing on the cake, no, the giant cherry on top of the cake, ok, hundreds and thousands if you don’t like fruit, it’s exactly what it should be for a song so quirky and catchy. I don't even know what's going on and it's so great I just don't care. Abandoned shopping trolleys? Abandoned drum kits? Fruit and ice blocks? Game of pool anyone? Clueless pants? Tkay bouncing around looking effortlessly cool...why does it take me hours to look....no where near as cool as Tkay is? (These questions should not be answered.) Just like the song, this clip is simple - it makes me happy. I may be slightly nerdy singing "chitty bang bang" all day, but in front of my TV with this clip, I'm a star. Totally.
