Tim Nelson of CUB SCOUTS

It's the end of the year, so I've got to ask - what's been your favourite moment of 2012?

Tim: I think releasing our debut EP was my favourite moment!

The 'Told You So' EP is a lot of fun, one of the best released all year. But I'm ready for a whole lot more Cub Scouts... are you hard at work on an LP and when can we expect to hear new music from you?

Tim: We've been working on lots of new music all year, so you'll definitely be hearing some new music soon!

We had the pleasure of seeing you live at Alhambra as part of your 'Told You So' tour earlier in December. What was it like performing in front of the hometown crowd?

Tim: It was so much fun - Brisbane crowds are pretty rowdy and funny.

You must be a fan of Phebe Starr, you know, having her support your tour and all. What do you think a collaboration between Cub Scouts and Phebe Starr would sound like?

Tim: I reckon it would sounds pretty cool, Phebe's voice is amazing.

College radio in the USA is literally loving the shit out of you right now. Are you ready to get on over there and start doing shows? What's to come in 2013 from Cub Scouts?

Tim: Yeah it's pretty incredible! We would love to go to the US, I guess we'll see how 2013 pans out with our next release and everything!

Out of the five of you, who's most likely to have a Britney Spears style meltdown and why?

Tim: Zoe. She's always around boys so she doesn't know what girls are supposed to wear which is confusing for her. She'll probably end up shaving her head before the end of 2013.
